Just want to give a shout out to Yak Attack for great customer service.

I huli'd both Saturday and Sunday out at Hobuck.  Casualty on Saturday was my Visicarbon Pro.  Broke both of the carbon masts.  Sunday's collateral damage was my paddle leash (not a Yak Attack item).

Called them up just now and they're shipping a repair kit free of charge.  Not sure if it'll make it out here in time to rebuild the flag before ORC, but Mark Collett offered a bike flag loaner, so one way or another I'm covered.

Very happy with Yak Attack.  They really do stand by their products.

That's interesting, I wouldn't think that would be covered.  Nice to know though.

I've had exactly the same experience with them.  Luther really stands behind his products and goes above and beyond to satisfy his customers.

I don't think you or I would make the best beach landing team for the Marines. Although I am improving my skills, I have not crashed this year... yet. BTW - if you want one of those fancy flags, I'll set mine aside and give it to you next time I see ya. Best of luck fishing!

Got mine rebuilt, but having a spare or one for the tandem would be a good thing, especially when the kids are able to take that by themselves.  I'm hoping to make it out to Hobuck one more time this year, probably around Labor Day weekend.

If you call them and tell them what happened they should send you the rebuild kit same as they did for me.

One point of caution though.  It's a bugger to get the new bungee through the base.  If you can run a bit of thread or something through it that you can then use to pull it through the 90deg bend it has to make in the base it'll be MUCH easier for you.

I have to give my experience here too, I sent him an email Wednesday morning, telling him I rolled on a surf landing and really felt like it was my fault anyway - but they sent replacement parts anyway, and they were in my mailbox today, Friday.  Super fast, super awesome, customer service!
