Hey guys, I love the look of these konezone flashers, and after not being able to keep my yak straight with a trolling rig out, I need something with less drag.  Is there anywhere in the Portland Metro area that carries these?  I hate waiting for shipping....

Most tackle shops in the area carry them.  I know for a fact that Hoggs/Jo-Marr in Hillsboro has a big variety.

Fishermens marine.

Yeah, I can confirm the Gladstone/Oregon City location of Fisherman's has them.

All Fisherman's locations have them.  Your shortest trip would be to the Jantzen Beach location.  Hogg's is a cool shop though.  I wish I had to be in Hillsboro more often.

I don't get the whole deep six and dodger/flasher being too much drag.  I have never had a problem trolling unless the wind and current were both howling, but even then I can manage to troll some.

I had to switch from the deep six/dodger combo to 10 oz lead and Konezone on Saturday at PC.  It was putting too much torque on my rod holder (9 1/2 foot rod) which was causing it to loosen.  If I had been left handed it would have been fine.  I am glad I made the switch though.  I picked up a nice coho after switching to the Konezone. Also, Konezone is an awesome company. ;)

The Tigard Fisherman's Marine has them out right now in their "tent sale".  I bought three of them about an hour ago.

I caught at least 15-20 of your damn Oregon hatchery cohos last week.  I couldn't keep the bastards off my line. >:(

Duuude....they are actually pretty good eating if you cook them right.  Not as good as a king...but still worth the effort.

Except we have a no retention policy of cohos in CA.

Well that's just stupid to disallow keeping hatchery fish.

Wait...what?  That is stupid!  And frustrating. Good lord!

I retract my previous statement...sheesh...any insights as to why?  Some agreement between CDFW and ODFW?

California is full of stupid fish and game laws.  This one is just particularly frustrating.  I heard a report yesterday of a 20 coho day from a powerboat.  Go 100 miles north and you can keep the exact same fish.
