Help with an idea

I have a great idea to build an internal storage system for my trident using nylon eye-pads and shock cord.  However, the design dictates that I use an adhesive on the eye-pads.  Marine good says it's not recommended for polyethelene.  Ideas?  What is a good adhesive for polyethelene?

Basically, I am making an internal net system to anchor things to the hull.

Ha!     I guess what I was picturing didn't require making holes below the waterline....

I can't seem to find a good adhesive for poly...I think that's the nature of poly...I will keep looking.

I'd look at 3M's  line of epoxy, I thinks it's called Scotch-Weld.

Also, they have a pretty strong/durable double sided foam like tape that might work.  This isn't exactly what I'm talking about, but something like this:

Just a thought

Breachers tape would most likely work, but is expensive ($57 for a 2" by 50' roll).
