So this derby is open to kayakers. Looks like it has a few weigh in locations. Would people be interested in fishing this. Maybe get an NWKA team together. I am planning to enter it either way but I would love some familiar company.

I have entered into this if anyone wants to offer up any tips or go and pre-fish with me a few days before. Or you know enter it with me some I am not the one lonely kayaker out there.

Well I didn't win, I didn't even land a fish. Talking with the checkers it seems that only 50 fish were turned in meaning that the catch rate was only about 10%. Did everything right even found and fished some huge bait balls. Ravdakot gave me some great tips and techniques that almost worked I just could get them to get that hook in the mouth. Largest fish was a few ounces over 20lbs. and a kid caught a fish that would have took second place and $1500 but they were honest and weighed it in as a kids catch and not dads catch. Still chasing that chinook.
