I live in Washington but want to expand
My horizons. Thinking one road trip a year
If you could only fish one weekend a year when
And where would that be . For me in Issaquah
It would be late Sep when pinks and silvers
Are both thick in the snohomish

I'd head to PC a weekend the salmon are around and target salmon, bottom fish, and crab.

I'd find a different hobby if I could only fish once a year.... What is your objective of your fishing trip? Quiet? Volume of fish? Size of fish? Fish in the freezer? Adventure? .... All have different answers .....

I agree with Noah for except that I would pick Sunset Bay. Same choices of bottom fish, salmon, and crab, but even better launch and scenery than PC. Simpson Reef is pretty cool, and the area up around Cape Arago lighthouse ain't bad either.

Coastal rivers here-  a weekend after Sept.15 when we have kings running and wild coho can be retained...lots of great kayak tidewater to fish for both species each day...

Hey, stop picking on me and my constant struggle to schedule fishing around my busy work and family life.   For your information, it's actually more like two weekends a year and a couple weekday evenings here and there.   :embarassed:
