Ive been looking for a while. I found a few kayaks that I wanted to look at but they were all to far away and sold before I could make it out there. I feel like this is a pretty good price on the kayak. Any thoughts?

I can't tell what make and model it is. It might be one of the field and stream boats that's Dick's sells for about what he's asking. Those aren't terrible boats but don't paddle nearly as well as an Ocean Kayak or Wilderness Systems boat.

It looks like the Dick's F&S model to me also.  They are usually on 'sale' for $450 new in the store, with warranty.

If you're on a budget this is a really nice boat, plus it's 100 bucks off right now. It's the older design of the Wilderness Systems Tarpon 120 but it's a good all around boat. Only down side is that if you're 200+ lbs you will ride a little low in the water and may not be as stable as some larger boats.

Does anybody have a practical opinion on Cabela's SOT's? I'm looking at the skeg wheel system that they have on their Emotion Stealth 11.  Beats the heck out of carts, my old milk crate gear bin, etc., although I still really like my Hobie Outback with the Mirage Drive...

I'm not aware of any Cabela's brand SOT kayaks. However, they do care a couple reputable brands including Old Town and Emotion.

I've bought two ocean kayaks online, most of the places deliver free to Portland and there is a lot more kayaks to choose from.
