Hi all,

I'm a bit new to kayaking but have been pounding the banks for salmon and steelhead for quite some time. Started paddling around on a small necky this summer trolling for trout in Oregon and Idaho.  Recently upgraded to a Tetra 12 Angler, which has only been out to the lake to catch some small fish and to practice climbing back into it. Looking forward to learning about how to target salmon and rock fish in the Ocean and bays around the coast.

Hope to meet some of you on the water,

Mike

Tillamook bay is a good salt water learning experience. Smaller black rocks on the south wall and you can drop a crab pot if you like. I live close by and fish it as often as possible if you don't want to go it alone.

Thanks mojo,

Viking and I are going to be in the upper bay tomorrow trolling for Nooks.  I'll definitely hit you up in the future to check out the South Jetty.
