Drove to Deception Pass early Saturday morning arriving at the peak of high tide near the west point of the beach. Geared up not knowing what to expect, very strong current and by this time the tide is outgoing and really had to paddle hard. By the time I got close to the bridge I saw what looked like rapids and and whirlpools. Decided to beach the kayak and fished from shore. Locals and the powerboats who were trolling where on the same page as the fish did really well. I managed to hook 2 and land one. Fellow fisherman had a mini digital scale with him and fish weighed at 5.4 lbs. Fish and Wildlife came to check in on all the fisherman.

Spectacular scenery.
