Hello fellow kayakers,

I'm a friend of Kyle McTeague's and of the late, great Ron Sauber's.

I come from the world of spearfishing but due to the extreme frustration of not being able to legally spear salmon, I have come to very recently embrace the ways of you top water people. I got a limit of Silvers from Buoy 10 last week and am hoping for a repeat tomorrow AM. I'll be running solo unless someone wants to meet me?

I realized that I don't have enough friends who are able to chase fish at inappropriate times so here I am in the hopes that there will be others here also looking to get up to no good with me.

I shoot stock photography for National Geographic (www.joshhumbert.com) and sell Tahitian pearls on the internet (www.kamokapearls.com). Married with two great kids, one off to college in a couple of weeks and the with two years of highschool left.

Let's go fishing!

Welcome! I know what you mean about inappropriate times or sometimes spontaneity...
Really awesome pictures on your site!

Seems like a rather suspicious character to me.  I wouldn't trust him one bit.

Just kidding.  ;-). Welcome Josh!  Glad you found the site.  This forum is loaded with great people and helpful advice.  And there are plenty of folks that like to get out on the water.  So, to all my friends on this site, Josh is as competent and capable on the water as anyone here.  And, he's probably caught more fish than 90% of us.  Many with a speargun.

Good luck tomorrow Josh!

Thanks Kyle! Kind of an underwhelming welcome but like you said, I wouldn't trust me either. :D Great day on the water today. I'll try to post a report if I can wrap my head around the functionality of the website.

Welcome Josh! I think you will find there are many interesting characters on this forum and some will even be able & willing to give you tips and insights on how to catch some salmon!

Your background is interesting and your photography is great!

I am generally retired now but am also a professional photographer and also do large format giclee printing for painters and photographers. When I am not doing that, I am often chasing salmon from my kayak! Maybe we will run into each other out there.

Wow Dave, beautiful work! Great website. Really enjoyed the animal pics, especially the lion with the Donald Trump comb-over.  ;D
Hope to see you out on the water soon!
