It wasn't from a kayak but I landed my first salmon today thanks to my buddy Steve small hatchery coho after having a bigger coho unhook at the boat. We unknowingly released a native coho that we could have kept but we didn't consult our attorney before the trip, FYI in tilly bay till it closes , one native coho per season , open Friday and Saturday only this is per the ODFW fish checker dude (no goatee)  PC guys know that joke.

Glad to see you finally busted that cherry Shannon. The first one is always the hardest to get.

Now-- go get some in your Big Tuna.  A whole different ballgame. But you're gonna love it and want so many more. Just "make it happen".

Did you catch that silver in T Bay or salt ? Hope you learned something or two.
Life is short---live it tall.

Be kinder than necessary--- everyone is fighting some kind of battle.

Sailors may be struck down at any time, in calm or in storm, but the sea does not do it for hate or spite.
She has no wrath to vent. Nor does she have a hand in kindness to extend.
She is merely there, immense, powerful, and indifferent

The coast guard cutter was patrolling the small craft advisory this one and the first one that unzipped at the boat were in the ghost hole the native we mistakenly released due to no attorney on board to interpret the regs was Hooke along the north wall and was a good 10 inches longer

That's the way to put the Mojo into Mojo Jojo Potato!  Congratulations, Shannon.   :banjo:  Sorry we couldn't get a video of your kayak katching the day before, but I'm happy to see your success.  Way to go.  Mmmm Salmon - It's what's for dinner.

Congrats! Shouldn't be too hard to go out there and do it again in the kayak. Pretty soon you'll have a freezer full with how close you are. Way to go.
My wife thinks fishing is merely guys wandering around like idiots swinging sticks in the air. Many of my trips prove how smart she really is.

It's about time, Ha.  Nice fish, I hope you ate that one and didn't give it to the kids.
