Long Beach Coho

Here's a late report video from mid-September. Adding up numbers of bites, take-downs that didn't stick, lost fights, and fish into the net was about 20 for myself. Weather was great and so was the company. I will likely be spending much more time here next year!

Great footage! Sounds like an action packed day! Funny how coho do that. I'd like to see a vid of how they can cleanly strip you of a plug cut, but completely miss both hooks.

I actually plan to park my trailer out there for a few weeks and go whenever the weather is good and I can get off work.

Was that a snubber you had on there? Think it helps?

I'm not convinced of the need for a snubber.  I went two for three without one and I think Jeff was something like two for twenty.

You're going to miss hookup/loose coho because thy're spastic buttholes, but not convinced a snubber is necessary. I don't use one, run braided line with a 30lb mono lead, and most days land the majority of takes. Have also had those 2 fish for ?? take days too, but I dont think a snubber would have helped. May be helpful if your salmon trolling stick has a really fast stiff action making it difficult to maintain constant pressure though.
