I'm picking it up from Mr. Willis from ifish tomorrow and I'll tell the whole story.

The Lords of Fishing have been kind to you this year, Kathy's caught the fever, and now you're getting your camera back!?  You're having one of The Best Years Ever, Chris.  Things like that don't happen to the rest of we mere mortals...
The fish bite twice a day - just before we get here and right after we leave.

I bet a cabezon would eat a camera.  Someone rig a GoPro to look like a crab.

Not volunteering your own, Lee?
As of July 12th, I am, officially,  retired.

I don't like cabezon,  or losing $400 pieces of equipment.

Praise the Lord! I got my camera back.

Whether you want to attribute it to divine providence or randomness, one thing is for sure, the internet has been firing on all cylinders and is working like it should. On Sept. 29th I went fishing with my wife and bb2fish at Salmon River. My wife had her first solo salmon on and I snapped one picture. Five minutes later I realized the camera was gone. Subsequently, uplandsandpiper posted the link to the ifish lost and found and forwarded my contact info to Mr. Willis, who had found the camera on Oct. 1, 48 hours in the river. This is an inexpensive Kodak camera that is no longer available but it was a real workhorse and good for kayak fishing since it is waterproof to 16', a $90 item when new. I am very happy to get it back.

My only picture of my wife fighting the fish, probably not a great photo but the only one.

Barb's glory shot from that day on her camera. My wife's first solo salmon.

(She's shy about her mug shot being on the web.)

Today's fishing report. I went by myself and got skunked except for a real chunky cutthroat. There was a hot bite at one point but I missed out. Still plenty of fish in the Salmon River. Thanks to all who helped reunite me with my camera.

What a great result!  I read that ODFW is recycling salmon at the hatchery back to the boat ramp so I'm hoping to get one yet this year.

They were in there rolling at the ramp at low tide but most of the action is up at that hole.

I forgot to mention that the camera doesn't float and that the gentleman had stepped out of his boat to cast spinners from the bank for awhile and found it in a few inches of water at low tide near where I had taken the last picture.

Cool! I wish I had your luck.  I guess I need to fish shallower.   Congrats on your wife getting her first kayak salmon. That is awesome.

So glad you were reunited with your camera!  Thanks Tyler for posting the ifish link, I'm glad I had a hand in contacting Willis since I knew you lost your camera.  That's pretty incredible to get that back!  Pretty special day to see Chris' wife catch her first salmon!!  Now you've got photographic proof of FISH ON! :banjo:

Glad you got it back! To me the photos are priceless. Whenever I lose a camera I am always more upset about losing the photos the than the value of the camera.
