Someone on Ifish found a waterproof camera in the Salmon River. If you were hullied there by a giant chinook or Sasquatch and you want your camera back you might want to check in with this guy.

Chris (C_run) lost his camera on Monday last week when we were fishing the Salmon River.  His wife caught her first kayak chinook and he took some great photos.  I hope this is his camera.  I sent a PM to Willis on Ifish and provided Chris' phone number, so hopefully the two of them can connect.

Thanks for sharing this ifish link on NWKA.

Thanks so much folks. I am not an ifish member so I would really appreciate any help getting it back if it was indeed the one I lost the other day. I'll wait to hear from Willis , I guess. Thank you thank you.

I think Craig may have lost one last time we were there.

I would love to know the brand and if it still works if it was in the water for some time.  It gives me hope that someday someone will find my Playsport in the 100 foot hole on the Willamette or my Olympus TG2 in 140 feet at PC and return them to me.  Or any of the other cameras I have lost.  I did by a floaty thingie for my new camera, but sadly I lost it. :(

And for the record, not all were lost.  One got bonked when I missed my salmon's head.  Stupid fish flinched.

Might want to think about attaching a crab buoy to your cameras in the future.

Don't ya just hate it when that happens................too funny
Life is short---live it tall.

Be kinder than necessary--- everyone is fighting some kind of battle.

Sailors may be struck down at any time, in calm or in storm, but the sea does not do it for hate or spite.
She has no wrath to vent. Nor does she have a hand in kindness to extend.
She is merely there, immense, powerful, and indifferent

Someone is going to catch a sturgeon some day, and out of foolish curiosity open it up to see what it ate...
I would much rather be up a creek without a paddle than down one.

Sounds like it is Chris's camera. The power of the internet never ceases to amaze me.

What I want to know is, how the heck did the Charter operator find the camera in the river?  Was it floating?  Was it sitting on the shore?  Did he snag the strap on the bottom while trolling?

When I first saw this post, I thought it said "Waterproof Camera Found in Salmon," which would have been an even better story.
