Hi all.  I moved to Portland about a year ago and am looking to get back into fishing.  I'm from South Carolina so most of my experience is in bass fishing, but I'm hoping to learn the ways of steelhead and salmon, so I'm sure I will have many questions.  I don't have a kayak yet but hopefully will soon.  Looking forward to learning from the site!

I'm from the upstate.  Spartanburg/Greenville area.

Don't think I know a Justin Carter.  Do you know which part of the state he lives in?

Pretty sure he grew up in Mauldin, but now lives in Mount Pleasant.

Anyway, enough about him... Welcome to NWKA and a very fishy part of the US.

You'll enjoy salmon. Imagine a 20 lb bass at the end of your line.

Welcome! we actually have some great bass fishing too.  since you're in Portland stop by Next Adventure. I'm more than happy to help show you the ropes and talk you through gear and boat options whether or not you go through our shop.
My name's Tanner, and we'll be having free clinics throughout the winter and on water classes in the spring
