I want to give everyone a big thanks for ALL the posts and opinions you've given on this site.  It's give me TONS info.  I was able to find a screaming deal and felt very confident in my purchase.  Since this is my 1st, I'll mostly stick to lakes and pods and eventually move out to the sound and HOPEFULLY to he coast.  AGAIN, a big THANK YOU to everyone here!  I hope to see some of you guys out there.  I'll be stocking up on gear now...

I found A Hobie Revo 13 on c-list for $950.  They guy used it for recreational purposes.  It's in pretty good shape, but I'll need to buy ALL my fishing equipment to rig it out.   It's getting a little too cold to take it out though.   I'm a little disappointed that I won't have time this year, but I had to jump on the deal.

That's a great deal! That meme really captures your stoke. I remember how I felt when I got my first kayak. The best and worst of your problems have yet to come!

Spot YOU FORGOT THE "SUPERFLY"!!!  I do remember those guys!  Dusty Rose ALWAYS had busted forehead and was bleeding.

I'm soooo excited about my Yak.  My son (6yo) want's to get one too.  I've never owned a boat and my house isn't big enough to store one, so a kayak was a logical move.  I like the fact that I could have it in and out of the water in minutes.  I could fish before or after work.   Looking forward to rigging it out.  IF you guys have any recommendations on "must have" before I go out, I'm all ears.  I'm in the Ballard/Everett area

Congrats on the yak. With it getting cold and nasty out there. You can take the time and figure out how you want to set it up. I see some real cool Christmas presents under the tree.    Portland Wrestling rocks, don't forget Tom Peterson's ads.

Congrats!!  I'm in the Edmonds and know a few guys up here too.  PM me if you're ever putting a fun outing together.  My daughter is 7.  She wants a kayak too.  A couple few years down the road and I'll have a sidekick for the small bodies of water.

Sounds like the deal of the year, and congratulations.  Lots of threads and posts here about gearing-up.

Save pennies on rods and reels (at first) but buy good safety gear.
The fish bite twice a day - just before we get here and right after we leave.

I used to watch Portland wrestling when all the big names were still there with my dad when it was still on local tv. Ultimate warrior was a fav.
