Right on!  I have two freezers and 5 mouths plus parents to feed. I've already stopped giving away halibut.

MUCH better shots from a second kayak. Let's do it!!!!

Rudy, what kind of pink reel are you using to pull in those monsters?

It's a secret! lol.

It's a single speed Avet Sx.  My girlfriend bought it specifically so I wouldn't take it out.  HAHA.  too bad!!! I am totally a function over form kinda guy and I could care less what the dang thing looked like if it handles the fish.  I have a silver Avet sx two speed but embarrassingly, I took it apart, and I think I am missing pieces so I have been using hers for the past year and a half.  I did recently convert over to a release sg that is working out pretty well.  It's definitely not as I catching as my GF's AVET!

The Avet's are SUPER reels IF you take care of your gear.  I.e. rinse and clean.  Love and take apart to grease AND have the ability to put it back together again ( I do not).   The release is proving to be more capable of handling neglect and heavy use without the TLC so far but the jury is still out.  Most of my friends insist that ALL gear require TLC and care...if true, I have a problem I should address and prioritize higher in my 2015 priorities.  lol.

Avet, that's what I thought but I second guessed because the pink threw me off lol. Pink or lavender...no shame in your game if you're putting it to use like that! It was as if you knew why I asked about the reel; I just sold my Avet in hopes to buy a Release SG this coming year. I sent the Avet back to the manufacturer & they cleaned it for free, still on warranty, and returned it to me within a week. Great customer service but you are right about it needing lots of TLC. I can't wait to try out the Release SG, especially after you clarified my hopes about it's performance & longevity. Lighter reel & the specs speak for themselves. Thanks Rudy & keep the fish porn rollin.

I watched the whole trailer...where's Angelina Jolie? This movie is gonna suck if there's no Angelina Jolie...  I mean, hell...without Angelina Jolie, it's just the Tom Hanks movie Castaway--One dude and his insanity.

...if no AJ, at least give us a Helen Hunt at the end...?
