Cool new kayaks and the owners are nice guys. Great for divers and fly fisher folks.

I'm guessing that the price would likely be determined by how much value your feedback is likely to add to improving the product before it goes into mass production.

I sent them an email w/ phone # to discuss terms. Emailed me back fairly quickly. Sounds like they're pretty busy right now. We'll see what happens.

Don't know yet. Hope to talk with them soon. That will be one of my questions. Stability maybe?

I imagine it's for stability when shooting waterfowl.

Supposed to be good for stand up fishing or crawling back on in bulky dive gear on larger swell days too.

I've test driven this kayak.  I gave the founders feedback that the wings are unnecessary.  Their kayak is pretty stable without them and I could stand up without them.  They are really not good for when under way.  You need to full retract them.  Why not get a pair of pontoons that you can deploy while underway as well.

I have never paddled one, so I have no real basis for opinions on their design. I have chatted with them and I just want to see a couple of guys that served (ex Marines) realize their dream of developing a successful product. Maybe after the beta testing the design will change? Who knows. I was just trying to help spread the word for them. The Pacific Northwest is a pretty good proving ground for kayaks, that much I do know.

Don't get me wrong ... there are some other areas of innovation in the design. Look beyond the wings.
