Put the info in BallardBrads article to work along with the typical paying of dues (several trips out to the lake marking fish but not catching) and got my first Lake Washington cutthroat today (4th trip to a new fishery always seems to start paying off).  Pulled a red label cut plug most of the morning... About 100' behind a 4lb DR ball.  A lot of info on the web about fishing between 40'-60' in 80'-100' of water.  I found the fish in the top 15' of 55' of water.  Water temp was 49.1 all morning and I had the lake to myself.  Wasn't until I slowed my troll from 1.9mph to 1.4-1.5 mph that I got a strike.  Launched near Seward Park.

Glad you caught your first cutty.  It's been tough out there since the last storm rolled in.  I've had two trips where I've gotten skunked.  The lake just turned over so we should see some good fishing after the holidays.

Funny that  friend called me who was running at Seward Park and asked if it was me peddling around Seward Park.  It must have been you.  ^-^

Nice. Shallow-ish off Seward park does pretty well.

Yep... must have since I was alone out there.  I thought the lake might have turned over.  I've read about it, but haven't really seen it yet.  It didn't smell funky... just saw a bunch of green layers in different areas of top water.  I'll definitely head out once between Christmas and New Years (gonna try and get leogofish to come with me).  Gotta get an ultra light rod before I do.  I had a steelhead drifting rod that day so I didn't get the pleasure of feeling the fish fight much.

Good to know you can corroborate that finding.  Thanks.
