 By pulling the "spine" out of a sturgeon.....you can then dress the fish into steaks with vertical cuts and be done.
 Doesn't every body do it this way ?

Finally got my keeper. Check that off my bucket list.

I didn't know that they had sturgeon in the southern hemisphere.

Did you go out today?I was out Sunday and the bite was off. Several pick ups then dropped.

It was slow, we only landed 6 fish total.  But I don't mind.

That is one fat sturgeon.  Must have been close to the upper size limit.  I'm trying to get out there but this JOB keeps me from making the drive.  Maybe next week!

I only counted two barges and one powerboat all day 9am-3pm.   It was complete solitude out there. 

No fish breach for me, heck not even a bite!   However, it was better to be out there catching nothing, than sitting at home wishing I was there.
