Quick intro, moved to Oregon/Portland area about 1 year ago, after retiring from the Army. I did a great deal of fishing when I was younger, haven't done much for the last 10 years or so. Done a fair amount of kayaking, nothing fancy, always in sit ins. I like the idea of using a kayak to fish off of, plan on doing some of the local lakes, parts of the river around Sauvie Island, possibly out into the might Columbia as I learn more. I hope to do some ocean fishing come summer, and maybe even try trolling for some salmon, will see how I progress and how safe I feel. Looks like a great group of folks on here, lots of good info, yes I've been lurking for a little bit. I do like the idea of you having to do an intro prior to seeing the whole board, helps to get to know folks. Anyway, that's me, hope to spend time learning from the folks on here.
Thanks
John
