extendo-grabber?

Does anyone keep one of those claw arm grabber things with them?  I had an incident where my gear got tangled up in the bow handle while fishing.  I had to go to shore to fix it.  Thinking of ways to remedy that this season.

Ive crawed out to the front on my belly. Of course its not too hard on an outback. Gettef to the rudder might be a little harder.

I've had to do the belly crawl when I had my outback.  The  bow handle on an outback is a bad snag point.  I always used to get my salmon net caught on the handle also.  I hooked the back of my PFD with a trouble hook while fishing.  That was a fun one to get out of.  Barbless hooks are the only suggestion I can give other than just trying to be aware of snag points.

Fish with a buddy that could help you out of the silly tangles.

I've used one rod to untangle another rod's line on the bow and to remove a hook that got stuck in my bowline
I've jumped in and untangled things that got buggered on the bow handle
I've broken off gear that was stuck up there when I had a back-up close at hand
