I'm not going to lie, it's been difficult transitioning seasons from spring salmon to winter steelhead. I'm not sure if its a common theme when first kayak fishing in the PNW but I know its not just the change in weather. It's been a whole different ball game & a culture shock considering I haven't even caught a good day to hit the salt!
There are some good steelhead educational opportunities this week & I hope to take some of it to the water with me next Wednesday. Ill be heading down south to the Alsea to target appropriate water for presenting river levels. Join me if you can guys! Tight lines & dry socks...
