I caught my halibut on a 6 ft 10-20 rod. Using a AG 6501. Point being... You might already have a halibut rid and reel. :) if that is not what you are thinking I might have a reel that will do the job for you. Just message me.

Where and how are you looking to fish? Where are you located? I'm sure someone here has something that will work for you. If DWB doesn't have what you need shoot me a PM .... I'm looking to clean up the 20 or so extra rods in my garage.

Thank you all for the help. I finally got my set up. I will be going with a 6'6" lamiglas with a squall 30ld reel with 50 lbs braid.

For what it is worth... I think 50 pound braid is too much.  40 can be a challenge to break when you hang up and it is a bummer when you have to just cut your line.  Just my thoughts. :)
