My family has a cabin in Packwood so I am doing more and more research on the Lake Scanewa fishery. The trout fishing is supposed to be quite good and I have been following Tacoma Power's salmon planting report and they have been dumping thousands of coho and chinook (nice bright chrome fish from some pictures I saw)into the lake. I was looking at putting in near the campground and then try to troll my way up the Cowlitz River a little bit. There are not many reports from the lake, especially from yak guys...Has anyone been out there and had any luck? Any good spots to put in? The scenery around the lake looks really cool as well so I am thinking this might be something worth checking out...Thanks to all and tight lines.
