ok...so if there is any group that will understand, tis this one.

Here is my plan.  Every spring I make a trip with my brother and nephew to fill the freezer with razor clams.  What I have been missing is filling the other half of the cooler with fillets of bottom fish.

First...I am not cheap, I just enjoy the challenge of minimalism.  For example: a tent is heavy and luxurious.  I camp in a hammock wth a rain fly.

So here is the question.

I woudl like to find a place for me to park the truck, where I can sleep in my hammock and not be illegal or hastled.  Does anyone know of a place where I can park the truck overnight with at least one tree I can tie off on?  Id like to do 2 tides and two trips out along the jetty...which means one...maybe two nights.  Any ideas?

drive south past Grayland on 105 and try driving back into the hills up the Cedar River or Salmon Creek, that's probably your best shot for something close by however I can't speak for the hastle aspect.   Probably would depend if the tide is on a weekend or not.  I think most of the area is private timberlands so there might be some gate issues at times so you'll need to explore a bit.

and no obstacle should be placed in their path;
let them take risk, for God sake, let them get lost, sun burnt, stranded, drowned,
eaten by bears, buried alive under avalanches -
that is the right and privilege of any free American."
