Hey Guys, I have been tying up rigs for springers and I had a thought...which can be dangerous I know.

Has anybody been successful using a Rogue river anchovy style rig up here in the columbia? It first I thought "no way" then I saw a few guys killing them on the east side using a similar set up with a spin n glo instead of a spinner blade in front of the bait.  I know I am crazy, but is this a waste of time?

I tied up a few Rogue rigs and a few icicle creek rigs just in case.  Thoughts?  I can attach a picture if necessary, but imagine a prawn spinner it a bigger hook spread and an anchovy...less beads too.

Double hook mooching rig, in Gold beach they run a trebble hook as the bottom hook.  I have a double hook set up, 3.5 fingers apart, cone bead followed by 3 5mm beads and a spinner blade.  Down south they run a threader through, I am thinking I will just run through the gill plate and down to the midline with the bottom hook, then through the nose with the top hook.  Cone bead will slide down and keep the mouth closed....I am working on uploading a picture.  Ipad sux.

Try the luhr Jensen 101 herring rig.  Similar to the rogue and works with cut plug or whole herring.  My friend caught the first hatchery springer at Sellwood on one of these this year.
