The Anker models have ports built onto them and plenty of bells and whistles.  They look pretty too. My understanding is that the blue brick batteries are essentially the guts of an Anker style battery.

I was going to go the blue brick route a couple years ago but found Anker had already done all the work for me and it was cheaper than the brick and all the components.  I also use the 3440 plano.  Mine is the 10000 ah Anker. I am planning to upgrade to a 20000 eventually since my new color FF with gps sucks down the battery compared to my old greyscale FF.

Here is my finished product.  It's an NRS drybox with a hole drilled in the side for the cable and then Goop'd to keep it water tight.  I even have enough room to keep my phone in it too. This way I can use my phone to stream music to a small waterproof Bluetooth speaker I have tethered to the deck.  I had my Elite 4 HDI running about 4 hours yesterday and it drained the battery down to about 79%.  I keep it in the small twist and seal hatch right in front of me.  It works great!   :icon_thumleft:

I was going to ask you how much juice that Lowrance FF draw yesterday.  Only drawn down to 79% sounds good for a full day on the water.

I believe I have the Elite 4 HDI and it will drain my 10000 mah Anker in about 6 hours with GPS running.  When I used my non-GPS grey-scale Lowrance FF, I got over 28 hours on it with still more to go.

Wow.  Mine did pretty good then.
