i use the Plano Guide Series Waterproof Field Box - 3500.  here is a pic of battery and box. foam blocks are just to secure it snug.  also, mine is called a EZO external backup battery, i think anker and ezo are the same just different companies selling same thing?

I use a Plano WaterProof StowAway 3440.  The battery fits in there perfectly without the need for and padding.

OK, can't stand it...how many Amp hours does a battery like this provide? Are you guys using these to power cameras or fishfinders? Are there any other advantages other than the obvious size weight factors?

The one I ordered is 20,000 MaH.  Aside from size and weight advantages, it tells me right on the battery what % is left, and I can carry it with me on trips to recharge phones, cameras, and anything else that can charge via USB.

From a post I made a month ago: For those interested, here is an install on an Anker Astro Pro Series 20,000 MAh battery.  The connector on the outside has both inner and outer gaskets, inside connections are soldered and fully gooped, holes through case are gooped, and the fuse is waterproof and is already on the wiring to the main unit.  Tomorrow I'll set up a Velcro connection for this case in the hull. And the ziplock bag has some batting/stuffing to keep the battery in place.

I forgot to mention that I needed to cut away the dividers to get the battery to fit.  I just used my belt sander to grind them out.

HPDWipmonkey recently picked up the 20000maH battery to install in his new to be 2015 Outback and we ventured out to find a suitable waterproof box that would work to house this battery.

These pictures don't really show the whole box clearly, but it is an NRS dry box like this one, but with a clear lid.

We didn't have the battery with us at the time to verify proper fit, so we were more or less taking a stab at getting this right.  It turns out that the battery dropped in and fit perfectly.  Then when we went to plug in the battery output cable, we found that the box was actually about an inch to short and the battery would not fit with that plug installed.  On my way home from his place I stopped by my trusty Goodwill for a possible solution, and found a accessory 12v DC charger cord that had a 90 degree plug on it for cheap.

This in turn made it fit perfect with a bit of room to spare.  Now just needed to hack of the DC accessory plug and wire to a fuse and fish finder wiring.

Very interested to see what everyone with the lithium batteries has been doing as well. I just received my Anker 15000mah lithium battery and have been debating on which box and how to go about installing everything. Thanks for everyone's input!

Found this one on amazon.  Water resistant, non submersible.  Will be in the hull, so if it ends up submerged I probably have bigger problems than a lost battery.  Battery fits like a glove... Has a compass built into the lid and has a signal mirror sticker on the bottom.  Threw a few layers of shrink tube on the cord just inside to keep the cord nice and snug.

I am using several "ANKER" like batteries that also provide a USP port.  I am constantly using them for different occasions when some electronic device needs power or to be charged.  Much nicer than the generic "Blue Brick"Li-Po batteries
I used to think that Bigfoot might exist. Then I saw the reality shows where they are looking for them.  Now I am certain they don't

Stop teasing me, I still got a big ugly sealed battery, and I put it in a water resistant belly bag strapped on the front deck.

What makes the ANKER "much nicer" than the BLUE BRICK?  I realize the ANker is 20000mAh and the blue brick is 9500mAh, but the size is also proportionally larger.  I like the smaller footprint.

I have and Outdoor Products Large Waterproof box that can house two blue bricks.

I also have a single Plano 3440 for a single blue brick.
