Hey All,

If anyone is down for a totally unsanctioned, on-the-water follow-up to the recent Springer Clinic, Rawkfish and I plan on being at the Davis Bar "launch", near Vancouver Lake Park this Saturday 3/28/15 by 8:00AM.

This event isn't sponsored by any shops or groups.  It's just a chance for us all to go out and practice what was covered at the Clinic.

While this isn't an official class or guided trip, Rawkfish and I would be more than happy to help our NWKA Bro's and Bro'dettes with their rigging, bait, trolling lanes choices, etc. We hope to be on the water by 9:00AM to take advantage of the tide change bite.

The run seems to be a little early this year judging by netting results but if you're gonna drive out from the far east side, I'd probably hold off till the 1st or 2nd week in April.

Let me know when you do get over this way Justin.  If I have the time, I'll fish with ya.

Thanks Mark and Rawkfish! The clinic was great, very special as it was geared to kayak fishing. I attend most of the Fisherman's seminars just to get the lowdown on tackle and related 'tips & tricks'. I switched over from sea kayaking last May, purchased an Eddyline Caribbean 14 (gave the pedal power a try but still prefer paddle), and have been rigging with Springer '15 season in mind. I'm looking for all the help with rigging, bait, and trolling that you can give. I will be there!

I missed the clinic, what's the deal with dolphin on the map? I'm assuming that's a navigational marker and not your most recent flipper sighting.

Maybe you can explain it to me while you bait my hook for me on Saturday morning. :)

As much as I've learned from you Brian, I'd be honored to bait your hook.

The dolphin is a gentleman's club in beaverton.  The dolphin is a friendly aquatic mammal. The dolphin is a grouping of pylons tied together at the top (in this case, marking the end of a wingdam).  Take your pick.

According to the reports, there are fish to be caught.  I hope to see a bunch of you there tomorrow.
I should have some extra herring if anybody had issues with their brine technique.
