Hey all!

I don't yet have a kayak but I'm actively looking.  Frankly the thought of rolling one in these cold NW waters scares me.
I'm 62 yrs. old, have 2 artificial knees and arthritis in my hip and back.
I've had just about every type of power boat you can think of and I also have a 8' pontoon for trout fishing.
Now, for my next adventure I've decided to give kayak fishing a go.
So...I'm looking for a steal of a deal on a used fishing kayak that is almost impossible to roll.  I fish Salmon in Puget Sound (sometimes from my pontoon), and trout in the local lakes.

I live on Whidbey Island now for 35 years...Absolutely love it!

I'm looking forward to learning a lot from you more experienced folks and getting my "starter" kayak!!

Welcome, Salmon King! Graduated from OHHS many years ago - I get up there occasionally as my dad still lives there.

There are a lot of of kayaks out there that are plenty stable. Most are more stable than you think, especially if you are new to kayaks. Get out and try a few before you make a decision, the more time you spend on the water, the more comfortable you get.
