Sometimes it's difficult to keep track off all of the events that are going on.  Would it be possible to create a site calendar?

Keep it to tournaments, gatherings, seminars, etc.  Only editable by Admins of course.

Just a thought.

There actually is a calendar already (up in the nav bar between "my bookmarks" and "recent topics").  I don't think it shows up on Tapatalk.   However.. we don't seem to use it much.

1.) We could start using the forum calenar more.
2.) We could create a Google calendar and make it public.
3.) We could host events on our Facebook page and invite everyone to each one.

My preference would by for #2, mostly because just about everyone already has access to a Google calendar on their computer, tablet, and/or smart phone and everyone could import the NWKA calendar.

You're right.  I've never noticed it there.  there's an upcoming paddle event on it but nothing else.  Google calendar would be a good option if we can just get people to use. it.

By "get everyone to use it" do really you mean..  "make sure that Admin's keep it updated with events?"

Turns out I made one of these several years ago, but never shared it or put anything in it.  I'll start putting events in here and see what happens.

Hey look, I can embed it here...

Looking forward to putting in more time fishing and getting a tune-up the week before the Chinook Showdown. Is this the same area as the Chinook Showdown on the 18th? Also, what is the acronym LCKA?
thanks, Ken

LCKA (Lower Columbia Kayak Anglers) is a facebook page run by Tyler Hicks a.k.a. Uplandsandpiper.     Why do we need basically a duplicate group to NWKA? I'm not 100% sure, however, Tyler's "Big Fish Year" introduced many new people to kayak fishing from other sites like ifish.net and WashingtonLakes.com so I'm willing to do a bit of cross-promotion
