Calcutta 251

Is this a good reel?  I have one I can buy for $30. It's in good shape really clean.  It is good for lings and salmon?

it's gonna be small for that application, but it's a killer reel worth well more than $30 in any sort of usable condition.

In great shape, $130 would not be a bad price.  New I am thinking they were in the $200+ range.

Great reel. I've had mine for about 15 years and it's still a smooth, powerful little package.  Like the others said it's worth way more than $30.  You won't be disappointed.  Only freshwater use for my 251.

What can I realistically figure I will use it for... I typically fish 40#braid... it will take 210yards of that... I welcome thoughts.

Would be a great salmon reel or light rockfish

Kokanee, trout, mackinaw, steelhead... Those are neat little reels.
