Ok so I finally got on my Kayak.  First time for everything.   I paddled around for about an hour and a half.  I got a feel for the balance,  I practiced falling off and climbing back in, tested the speed and I even trolled a little bit for trout, (no luck with the fishing)  AND I LOST MY NEW POLE HOLDER!

Rookie mistake I had it attached to the Kayack (I was thinking lash it or lose it but for got to put a screw through the top to hold it on and when I went to pull the pole out of the holder it flew off the stand that was secured to the kayak and Bloop she was Gone gone gone!.  Leasson learned, for now.  :/

I made a short video but do not know how to load it.

The Propel 13.5  is  very stable, and easy to peddle at a comfortable speed.  when put to the test I was able to get it up and moving so as to create a wake behind me, although extended peddling at that speed would not be sustained past 15 20 minutes for me until I am in better shape.

I tipped myself over 2 times on purpose and was able to  easily flip it back over (the propel system works great as a leaver.  Climbing back on was easy enough although the propel system does get in the way a little when trying to get situated back in the seat.   The water was calm so I expect it could be tougher in rough water.

I hope to be somewhat ready for WG on the 30-31st.    If anyone knows how I can post the short video I would post it for anyone that would like to see it.

Just an observation you rolled your boat in the same direction it already rolled so if you had lines in the water they would be all the way around your boat. Also in a dry suit and pfd try pushing it back over to see if you can or swim around the other side to avoid the full line wrap. Once your comfortable do it while your line is in the hater weight but no hook and tether or tie what you will have aboard and see if it is any different. Trust me I know.

Welcome to the Alaskan Slayer Propel 13 Fleet. Great Video. You'll get some upper body workout loading the yak onto what you are hauling her with, it's not a lite rig but well worth the effort for the stability and storage space. I may watch the weather for a run down this weekend but it's not likely as the spring chores are undone and my wife is a heartless task master.

Great points did not think about the line wrap.  I had planned to tether everything on next outing.  I had also made a mental note to try and flip the kayak over without the use of the propel system.

Thanks

I second that, after peddling for hours yesterday and trying to load it into the back of my truck (tailgate won't open!!!) without damaging the rudder it sucked!!!

Get your tailgate dropped and get a  T extension put some rollers (PVC pipe)  on and it'll slide right in. I have been so wore out it was tough to get it started though. I believe it is worth it.
