hi, I'm another newbie/wannabe. I just recently vacationed on the Kenai where I saw a bunch of kayaks fishing near Homer. Looked like fun. I have been going out of my mind thinking kayak fishing ever since. Haven't got my boat yet but after extensive online research have decided to take the plunge with an OC Trident unless you more experienced guys would suggest something different. Lake trout are my main objective until I get back to Alaska.

Hi Amik, welcome to the kayak forum! I am new to kayak fishing and haven't paddled a Trident yet, but I love my Hobie  Revolution. I'm sure someone on the forum will have experience and advise on Tridents.

I use a Feelfree Lure 11.5 love the gravity seat and the wheel in keel makes moving it around easy.

The OC Trident is a great paddle yak.  Really smooth glide and tons of gear storage.
I've had the T13 since 2008 when they first came out.

Although I have moved onto the pedaled Hobie Revo, I still like to paddle my Trident when my 14 year old son son goes with me.  He used the Revo.
