I just finished installing a Lowrance Elite 4 Chirp on my Revolution 13 today. I used the Hobie install kit 3, and mounted it to a Yak Attack GT90 gear track. Even though this is my first kayak, and first fish finder install,  everything worked out well. Hobie thought of everything you would need, and even gives you a few extras. So far I havn't tested it on the water, but I'm really excited to use it next weekend in the San Juan Islands catching lingcod! I'll post an updated general review of this fish finder and the Navionics+ software I received with it when I have some experience with it.

I have been researching this exact FF and the hobie install kit for my new kayak. Now that it has been a while since this post, do you still like it?

My main question is whether or not that battery mount makes it impossible to use the storage hatch.

I love the fishfinder and the install kit. I'm still able to keep things in the hatch under the battery, and it's all watertight!
