I just finished installing a Lowrance Elite 4 Chirp on my Revolution 13 today. I used the Hobie install kit 3, and mounted it to a Yak Attack GT90 gear track. Even though this is my first kayak, and first fish finder install,  everything worked out well. Hobie thought of everything you would need, and even gives you a few extras. So far I havn't tested it on the water, but I'm really excited to use it next weekend in the San Juan Islands catching lingcod! I'll post an updated general review of this fish finder and the Navionics+ software I received with it when I have some experience with it.

That looks great! I have to install my Elite 5 this week. Has anyone had issues with water getting on the battery with the rear hatch battery placement?

T2....No issue with water on the battery, in the rear hatch of my PA-14 that has the same hatch as the Revolution......and if you use the Hobie battery, the battery lead wires are "sealed" to the terminals. In any case, water is a non-issue.

So far I have no issues with water getting into my rear hatch.  If  done correctly it should be a waterproof install.

I fished on the east side of San Juan Island. I caught a bunch of Cabezon and Irish Lords by Mosquito Bay and Smugglers cove, and I caught some Copper Rockfish and a Ling off of Henry Island.

Glad to hear this went so well. I'm planning the exact same install when I can find a 2015 Outback in Papaya.
What do you think of the Hobie battery? How many hours are you getting with the Elite 4 Chirp?

The battery included in the kit works great! I used it for 8+ hours one of the days when I was in the San Juan's last month. Good luck with your install!

I have the exact same kayak I'm looking at getting a fish finder for mine this week too . nice to see what it will look like .
How far forward did you mount the transducer? Did you get the kit with the foam block ? Did you epoxy it down ?

My Revo has the Lawrance ready insert, so the transducer mounted to that. I've heard the  foam ones work well, just have to use a lot of epoxy. I bought my elite 4 chirp with Navionics + for about $290 at Hodges Marine online. It was the cheapest I could find.

Where exactly did you mount the transducer ?
It mounted directly to the lowrance ready scupper hole. You just mount it, and run all the wires through the hull.

I think mine is a earlier model . I dont think I have a lowrance ready hole . I was thinking I would mount it right behind the sail mount inside .
