Whiskey Gulch June 18-22nd planning and FISH FRY!!!

So me and the GF are heading down again Wednesday night after work and staying till Monday afternoon.  Mak2014 (Mike) had brought up the idea of bringing his new fryer and potato cutter down and having a fish fry on Saturday. Looking at the tides there is a 12:50pm low and a 7:00pm high so 5:00pm should be a good time to plan on eating???  I'm going to bring some pasta salad as a side and an 8 foot table, if other guys want to bring plates, cups, silverware, fryer oil, and other sides that would be awesome.  We can use this tread as a tracker for who's bringing what and any other ideas to add....see you guys on the water.

I'm in.  I hope! Not sure what dates though.

So change of plans, I'm not going to make it down till Friday Night/Saturday morning. Hopefully there's still room to camp.

Keep in mind the burn ban...

I bet it is heavily enforced though it seems a tad weird on a beach.

A friend drive to Kenai. Between the fire in Cooper Landing and sterling plus construction it took 5 hours to make it from Anchorage to Sterling.   Not sure if they stopped anywhere but unlikely with 4 young kids for long.  We need to monitor this.

Yea that sucks,  we're going regardless.  Gonna leave at noon tomorrow and camp at that lake a few miles past the Russian Ferry on the left side till Friday and then I'm gonna head to WG Friday night. We'll give updates when we get service

I'm hosting a party for 700 this weekend.    I'd rather be fishing!

Akfishripper reports he just made it to Russian River Ferry in 2hrs 15 min so just a touch delay. Couldn't see fire.

I'm heading down today after work, so I will give an update when I have one.

Headed out the door now.  6:30am ish.  Have no clue but I get a day off today so I am going somewhere.  Initial destination is Whiskey Gulch but we will see.
