Kwik, you are the champion! Way to go on that salmon. Nice seeing everyone out there, what a great day! Sorry to hear about that copper venom Hugh, that sounds painful. You ever noticed how much stronger they are than the black rockfish? All the salmon talk on the radio started pestering me so I went back and dropped off my fish and picked up salmon gear but didn't get any action. I felt "very new here" once I started trolling out in the ocean, having never done it before.
The beach was a zoo in the afternoon and nobody seems to care where anyone parks anymore. Doesn't bother me but I can see how the dory dudes get pissed.

Thanks minnow magnet!

Hugh, that doesn't sound fun at all. Wish I would have stayed a little longer maybe could have helped out in some way.

That's a remedy many of us have known about for a while.

Sorry to continue the threadjack, but I'm intrigued. So, you get stabbed by a spine, and still have the fish in your lap / stringer / whatever.

How does one successfully go about getting the vitreous humor out of the fish's eyeball and getting it into your wound? (it doesn't sound like there's a Ron Popeil gadget for this one...  yet...)
My wife thinks fishing is merely guys wandering around like idiots swinging sticks in the air. Many of my trips prove how smart she really is.

Or do you just rub the outside of the eyeball?

Puncture the sclera & pop the fluid out like a pimple. It's sterile so id be more inclined to try this route on an open wound rather than the fish slime which is not sterile.

It was good fishing with you again.  I liked all the doubles.  Wish I had the picture with your keeper ling/ black rock double.  That was pretty sweet.

Being retired, they pay me when I go fishing, therefore I am kind of a professional fisherman.

good to see you out there shannon. it was a great 2.5 days of productive kayak fishing and crabbing, i even saw a pod of porpoises swim by as i drifted a little too far south. check out the car sinking at high tide while the people ate at the pub and a tow truck guy waited for them to return as he watching the sunset.

HAHAHA! That's fantastic. I've helped a few people out in my time, so I'm allowed to laugh. Same situation at the river near my house. Good times. Hopefully they recovered it without any damage.

Hey mojo, it may be a bit less confusing if you started new threads instead of renaming this one.

As I tell my wife... it's not clutter, it's organization.  Old threads slowly sink down the list and out of the way while new threads pop up at the top.
