After sticking my head into the hulk of my kayak I have noticed 3 weak spots in the hill of my kayak and it has me concerned. How do I go about fixing this? Or I have only had it less than a month should I just send it back? I really don't like the water getting inside the hull of my kayak. Now there is only three that I can see.

If they are I'm going to be pissed! Lol but ya they are super weak spots and the light shines right through them. I'm not 100% sure if they leak. They probably do!

Unfortunately they are holes! Which is really disappointing! I called and emailed the pics to the place I bought it and they forwarded the pics and email to ocean kayak! Has anyone experienced ocean kayaks customer service before? Am I in for a major headache?

Your kayak has manufacturing defects.  Ocean Kayak should give you a new kayak.  Hope you haven't spent too much time and money outfitting the kayak since you bought it.

You shouldn't have any problems with getting that kayak replaced as long as it wasn't sold as a factory 2nd.

If you're not completely satisfied with the RMA process, there are several OK/Johnson Outdoors pro-staffers on this site who can help expedite the process.

It is a factory second. But it shouldn't come with holes in it! I expect a misspelled word or upside down lettering but not holes

They really should be more clear on what "second" means.

Should that end up being a bone of contention, it's pretty simple to repair small holes in rotomolded plastic.

Not that I'm suggesting fixing your kayak over going back to OK to get a new one, but if you ever do find yourself needing to repair a kayak:

http://www.amazon.com/West-System-655K-Epoxy-Adhesive/dp/B002IZBM4I

This stuff is amazing, if you haven't seen the video:

I used it to repair my old malibu extreme that was drug on pavement... (it hurt to look at it when I got it) The rear of the hull had worn thru all the way. I formed the epoxy in the shape of the original hull and it worked for 4 years of abuse thru lakes and hood canal.

I would recommend a plasti welding kit before using g-flex.  It's the same material and once it's melted together, will not come apart.

Blem or not, that's scary. Somebody dropped the ball. Glad you didn't find yourself in trouble on that one. I hope they take care of you quickly.

Ya super scary! I'm just waiting to hear back. I'm hoping to get it replaced before ORC2015 otherwise I will be patching some holes catching some fish and then sending it back! Hahaha

I have an extra Trident 13 prowler availible to borrow, worst case if you need. I always bring it along, especially to the tournaments just incase.

After emails and phone convos the good people down at ocean kayak are going to do a full warranty on my kayak! Here's where it gets odd and if anyone has any experience with this please let me know. They want me to cut the serial number out of the back of my kayak. Mail it to them and they will send me a new kayak! Great deal because apparently they don't want this one so I get to keep it?????? So what's to stop someone from patching that hole and now you have two kayaks. Does that sound odd?
