My long and semi-patient wait for the Jackson Big Rig I ordered is finally over. Got the rig home on the rook of my Focus Wagon (not a ride I hope to have to give it again), unwrapped it and set it on my soon to be modified trailer. I know I'm in trouble because my wife likes it too - might need another before too long.

Going to take it out this weekend perhaps and get it wet, and see how she runs. I'm not a first time kayaker, but still a novice for sure. Want to make sure I have my skill set up to snuff with the new boat before making any major outings. I will be doing mostly inland stuff, but will eventually work my out into the South Sound around Olympia as well.

Looking forward to a lot of great trips in this rig. Here's some pics.

Thanks.
It doesn't look bad, but the cross bars on my roof rack are not far enough apart, or far enough forward to keep it stable if i want to slide it forward any further than it is. Three straps makes it plenty secure, but just another 6" forward of where it is now, and it starts to tip forward off the rack. I'm sure I'll car-top it every now and then, but that trailer will make it nice to haul. And, I'll get to build in some storage that way too.

Also, good to see the Tenino area "represent" here!
