I've been reserching for years and finally pulled the trigger on an Outback Mirage from ACK. I have used a kayak on lnterior lakes but I miss the sea. I've used a kayak in Cook Inlet and now understand the hype. I've ordered the Lowrance Elite 4 CHIRP and will have questions in chart plotting. Hope to run in to other enthusiasts as I make the coastal mecca.

Yah baby! Add another to the Alaska Crew!!!!  It's a long drive but its totally worth it! Valdez will be a tad closer to you when the pinks and silvers start up later in the year.

I've been wanting to hit Hardin lake for the trophy char and Lake trout as well.

Let us know when you can make it down this way!

C'mon Let's fish!!!!!

I fished Harding for two days of break-up. No hook-ups but had approximately a 36" Laker follow my soft bait to the Yak. I like fishing Summitt and Paxton lakes. I've caught 20lb+ fish and 10+ fish a day is common.
If my Yak arrives before July 4th I will fight traffic to Ninilchik and a buddies cabin. Hope to see you there.
