I'm planning on coming over to the coast for the weekend of the 4th of July.  I'd like to get out on the ocean if conditions allow it.  I'd prefer to fish at PC.  I want to fish Saturday and Sunday morning.  I'm not familiar enough with Majic Seaweed to know what is a go or no go condition.  What's it looking like?  If it  looks good i"d gladly welcome anyone to join up for some fishing.

That is definitely going to be a roller coaster ride.   :o

I'd avoid the Oregon coast completely during the 4th, as it will be jam packed with people.
1. It's a holiday.
2. It's freaking hot in the valley and the coast will be cooler.

Go inland and find a nice lake off the beaten path and just chillax.   8)

From that forecast it doesn't look good, but I'm tracking it for Sunday.  If you're not experienced in the salt then this weekend isn't for you.

The temperature here has been up to 111 degrees.  It's too hot to fish here.  My wife wants to get away for the long weekend so off to the coast we go.  We need to cool off and get away.  I know the forecast isn't great, but I'm hoping for a window of opportunity.  If it doesn't work out Tillamook looks like an option.  What is the general rule of thumb for surf/ swell go or no go conditions?

You could try the Nestucca River as a option too.

I'm thinking traffic conditions on/near the coast will be worse than the ocean conditions.

If you weren't already down there by Wednesday, it's going to be nutz getting around down there tomorrow.

If you're in Portland you could leave around 4 or 5 am like I typically do, and have no traffic on the way. But you better have reservations for where you're staying, or you will get stuck in traffic looking for a place.

Were doing a Tillamook bay crab and blackrocks Sunday the 5th 8am"ish drop in behind the fish cleaning station for anyone that wants to fish while beating the heat. Anyone going out Saturday can hit me up for tips or Intel
