Does anyone have an accurate source for tide tables at Whiskey Gulch? Last few times I was off by alot which made it very frustrating.  I'm taking my dad out Mon/Tues and would like to time it right so he'd have to do the least peddling.

Thanks!

The navionics app has seemed pretty accurate to me. It shows both the tide AND the current changes and times, which at WG is pretty important to know both.

I use navionics and tide graph. An important distinction is high tide is not the same as slack tide. Quick write up here. https://sites.google.com/site/kayakfishingalaska/locations/cook-inlet

Yeah - what you experienced is likely the delay between tidal peak and when the currents slack.   This can be an hour+ for even moderate or low tide swings, more in areas with big tides <see example>.   On apple devices I have TideGraphPro by Brainware.net  it shows tides AND currents - you have to set the currents up as separate screen, closest current point is about 5 miles away.   I also use the NAvionics app. for planning.  Love it.  Even so - the difference between either the Anchor Point or Ninilchik current points and tides, and what I have observed at / near WG is still off by 20 mins for slack currents, it's close enough to plan the trips but since the app's current point is several miles south... it's not really exactly 'accurate' for WG itself.

<edited to correct the app current info, and an example>
According to TideGraph app, Anchor Point 5 mi. NW of 22d:   LOW tide at Anchor Point on 7/28/15 shows 7:18 AM.   SLACK after low shows as 9:59 AM.   Max outbound current this morning shows 2.1knots around 6:35, and max flood current about 2.5 knots around 1:45.

Pros - Navionics gives you depth profiles, and if you have data connection you can get the tide info.
Cons - Avionics costs 19$

If you don't want the sonar charts for planning, the free app gives you the tide and current planning info and is super easy to use.
