I'm a newbie kayak angler and a bartender, so I work in Anchorage Saturday through Monday. I'd really like to get out somewhere with someone more experienced, but I'm only available Tuesday through Friday. Anyone up for a mid week trip? I'll buy dinner or beer or whisky or whatever!

Unfortunately I work the normal mon-fri grind. But fortunately I have more leave time than I know what to do with.

Most of us are chasing silvers now.  Halibut will be good in cook inlet for another month.  Kings should start up in Homer mid sept.   Kenai River and area lakes are good now too.

What's your interest in terms of fishing? Catch anything. Catch lots? Less fish but better size, etc.

Hi - and welcome to the forum and sport!

K-84 got me started at beginning of last season, so not a total noob, but have caught a few fish.   Happy to go out midweek somewhere if timing works out.   I am in Seward now and need to be in Kenai for the 27-31st.

Silvers have been a bit slow still up close.  I am hoping those who took the water taxi out to Sunny Cove did better.

In Sept. Oct. I will be on Cook inlet for week long vacations but don't have specific dates yet. Plan to kayak fish and fly fish Steelhead.  I'm a Rookie as well but did get a king on my first trip on the Outback Mirage. Maybe I'll run into you then as well as some of the Seasoned Kayakers. I just missed K-84 as he was leaving WG and hope to meet up and get some tips.
More of a Tea Totaled but did mix something new this year for a friend.

The Kayak Tipper

1 shot mango juice
1 1/4 shot Florida De Cara
1-2 shots ginger ale
Lemon  wedge
Cayenne pepper dash or 2
