a friend and i went to molalla river state park, and paddled up to the mouth of the molalla and then paddled as far up the molalla as we could. great paddle lots of boats and bikini's. fishing was fair for small bass on a white bonker zonker. what side of the kayak do you guys typically anchor from? your dominant side or non dominant side? and do any of you use 2 anchors in lakes and such?

I anchor from either the bow or stern so I don't get flipped in strong current. I have never used two anchors.  I have used an anchor and a drift sock, but rarely.

I usually anchor from the bow and fish "backwards" so I can watch for debris coming at me. (More important in the winter months, I suppose.)

That's a fun stretch of river to fish when the powerboats don't make it miserable. I like rainy days...  ;)
