Anyone heading out?  The new AI should be here this week so I'll be looking to get it wet somewhere. Wouldn't mind some company...

I typically take a good long look at Valdez on Labor Day a Weekend. But reports have to be pretty solid to make a 6 hour one way trip.  I then try to hit Lake Louise to try and find an elusive lake trout.

But odds are as of right now, I'm looking at cook inlet.  You

I'm leaning towards Cook Inlet, as I get back from a work trip really early friday morning so most likely won't drive away from the house til Saturday morning.

We're going out for sure. But not sure where. Seward is the frontrunner. But man,  I haven't done hardly any halibut fishing.

Tough call. Halibut fishing sucked today though we had some really hard strikes. Rarely do we get freight trained by halibut but it happened twice today without hooking up.   I gotta come up with a better stinger system.

Oh. I have no clue. If I have my kid, probably Seward. If I go alone cook inlet. Will likely do both.

I usually look towards Valdez on Labor Day but that's a long ways to go for cohos which I rank as the lowest of the salmon from eating perspective. Yes, lower than bright pinks or chums.

Right now less than 10knts 1ft for Sat at WG.

And yah I'm weird. Just use had too many Tate tests with different species and cohos seem to always come out last.

Current plans are to launch around noon for the 1:30ish pm low tide on Saturday at WG.

If the weather is good, I plan to blast out a few miles into deeper water.  Try both kings and halibut out there.  But we will see.

We'll be out there sat and sun. We planned to fish the high morning tide,  take a lunch,  and then low... But that depends on what time we leave Anchorage tonight....and when we wake up tomorrow.

Unsure as of now for Sunday. But likely.

I prefer the low tides so if it's later in the afternoon all the better. I'll be leaving Sat morning so early morning is out for Sat.

Note to self.... Lowrance 50/200 transducer doesn't fit the Adventure Island.  Time for a new ducer.  Lol
