So there I was. Fishing. I caught so many fish that day on that river. Actually it was just one fish. 55lb monster Chinook above Bonneville Dam. Tug boat moving some logs through the locks decided he would watch the fight. Tug Boat snapped a photo of this guy with his fish and next day tuned Tug Boat guy had submitted phot to The Oregonian. I fought that fish for over an hour. That was 20 years ago. Just before I joined the military.

I've been doting a lot of kayak fishing lately. Spent a long time in the Army and this has been some great therapy. It helps me for sure.

I appreciate the feeling, kayak fishing certainly helps keep my mind somewhat centered. Enjoy the fishing trips and the peace of mind, you've earned it.

Hawkdriver....First off, welcome to the NWKA forum and I'm guessing from your first post, retirement. As mentioned by yourself, Cdat, myself and others previously, kayak fishing certainly does have away of taking your mind off of less than desirable memories from military life. Hope to see more posts from you in the future. You've found a good place to hang out and there are many of us prior service types here as well.  :icon_salut:

Wow. I should have done a spell check on my first post! Thanks for the welcome. Hopefully I can meet other vets out on the river.
