Well it has taken me way to long to post. But I wanted to share that after two years, multiple seminars and way too many hours on the water I finally put a Chinook in my Hobie.

Last Sunday was my only opportunity at a morning effort for some time. I didn't have much time so I ran over to the Vancouver side to fish the Columbia. Even though I had to fish incoming I decided to give it a try. I used the basic fall setup with a spinner. Within 10 minutes of trolling I had this fish on. I have to say the battle was way more than I ever expected. This fish gave me a great ride and returned my confidence in my abilities. It really is amazing how different the whole thing was on a kayak.

Thank you to everybody on this forum for all of the information that is shared.

Congrats on your first nook.  The kayak salmon addiction only gets worse from here on out.

Awwwwwesome!

Way to stick with it.  Now that you have that 1st one out of the way, I guarantee you that the next and the next and the next aren't far behind.

Way to go getting that first kayak king on! The smile in the second photo says it all. I bet number two and three aren't far behind.
