It's time to cull the fleet.

If you're looking for a kayak that's easy to paddle and made to handle swell and chop, I've got the boat for you.  This is a 2013 Ocean Kayak Trident Ultra 4.3 that's seen very little action and has had no mods beyond a gooped in Transducer cup. This kayak comes with the custom butt pad, normaly only available on models sold in New Zeland.

This his been my loaner kayak for the last 2 years.

Asking Price: $999.99

FROM THE OCEANKAYAK WEBSITE:

First introduced ‘down under’, the Trident Ultra series was crafted in collaboration with pro kayak anglers from around the world. Fast and nimble the Ultra 4.3 can handle ocean swells and glide through calm waters with surprising speed. Based on the Trident Ultra 4.7 this shorter sibling is loaded with even more innovative features making it the new benchmark for fishing kayaks.

LENGTH: 14' 1" | 4.3 m
WIDTH: 29.1" | 74 cm
WEIGHT: 68 lbs | 30.8 kg
MAX CAPACITY: 325-350 lbs | 147.4-158.8 kg
SUGGESTED RETAIL: $1,499.99 USD

•Comfort Hybrid seat back
•Multifunctional reversible Ultra Center Hatch Cover
•Live bait well or anchor storage compartment
•Click Seal bow hatch
•Transducer compatible scupper with more transducer size options
•Oversized tank well designed to take the Ice Box Storage Pod

Now, don't you dare get a peddle kayak. There won't be enough fish for the rest of us!

There's just something about being able to liftt my yak over my head, go in reverse, traverse shallow water, pull big fish into the cockpit and store my rods inside the hull that's too attractive to give up.

Maybe when I get old and loose all coordination I'll get a pedal kayak. ;D Till then, I'll keep paddling.
