Hi All:

Just so I'm clear, when you say "offshore" you mean open ocean right, two or three miles out, right?  I'm looking at getting into kayak fishing, mostly Puget sound and lakes .  I'm looking for a stable peddle drive kayak with lots room.

Have you looked at a 14 foot aluminum boat?

Most are actually lighter than the PA 14.  >:D

Unless you're taking the kitchen sink, I think you'll find the revo 13/16 both stable and with plenty of carrying capacity (obv'y the 16 has more).

The 13 and 16 have the same carrying capacity.  :police:

i've got both in my garage right now.  no way the tankwell on the 13 is the same size as the 16, unless it's an optical illusion, and/or i'm losing it...which is entirely possible.

sorry - "carrying capacity" was probably the wrong term to use.

Yes, "offshore" would be bottom fishing like out at 3 arch rocks area, not hitting tuna 20 miles out:-) Dropping a crab trap on the way out and picking it up on the way back.  I think it would be discouraging to ocean launch a heavy kayak, so in that regards, lighter is better.  Getting both (outback and Revo13 or a 13 and a 16) might be a good idea as well, but I think I'd have to sell my bay boat (15' Duroboat) to find storage room for both.
